How to spend a day in MUNICH, GERMANY

We kick off the tour at the Karlsplatz / Stachus, walking through the pedestrian zone to the Marienplatz to see the Old and New Town Hall. A short walk around the corner takes us to the Viktualienmarkt, a market that has lots to offer.

Moving on to the beer center of Munich - or should I say the world… the Hofbräuhaus. After a couple beers we pass the boutique shopping street Maximilianstraße and the Max-Joseph-Platz with the National Theater and Residenz.

Continuing to the Odeonsplatz with the Feldherrnhalle - a place with lots of historical meaning. The massive Ludwigstraße takes us past the University of Munich to the Siegestor, one of the city gates.

Finally, we end up at the English Garden - an urban park bigger than Central Park in NYC. Most importantly, you’ll find the best beer garden in the world inside this park as well as a bunch of surfers doing what they do best - SURFING - in a city with no ocean…

Check out the video for all the info on this walking tour that you can easily do in one day. I also provide some interesting historical context throughout the tour.
