How to spend a day in Heidelberg, Germany
We’ll walk through the Altstadt - the Old Town - with its many shops, restaurants, bars and historical buildings. We’ll make several stops along the way including the Karl Theodor Bridge often referred to as The Old Bridge and the Church of the Holy Spirit.
We’ll take the unique funicular railway up the Königstuhl Hill to the Heidelberger Schloss - Heidelberg Castle. Undoubtedly, the most important and recognizable landmark of Heidelberg. Besides the amazing views you have from atop the hill, the castle features gothic as well as Renaissance architecture and to top it all off, we’ll tour the Barrel Building with the World’s Largest Wine Barrel.
